Description

This is the first image I have produced with the FSQ106 IV using the QE 0.72 reducer. I had todo some tilt adjustment of the QHY600M camera using NINA and the awesome Hocus Focus plugin. I used some Kapton tape on the side of the bayonet end of the camera to level it. the field of view is ~5.4 by 3.6 degrees @F3.6 compared to ~3.9 by 2.6 degrees at F5. there is some star distortion on the edge of the image inline with Takahashi's data sheet on the FSQ106 IV.

The weather has been just awful over the past 6 weeks and I would have liked to have gathered more integration time, however at F3.6 the photons really get into the camera somewhat quicker than at the native F5 of the FSQ106 IV and the result wasn't too bad. It's time to move onto the next target.
The data was acquired over about a month sometime only getting 30 minuets before the clouds came over. Having a permanent pier and small roll away shed makes this sort of acquisition possible for me now.
